Zasco van Rooyen is a Director at Baldwins Lawyers and the head of the Conveyancing and Commercial Practice.

Zasco specializes in the area of property law, conveyancing and business transactions. Zasco also has a very keen interest and passion for estate planning, i.e drafting Wills for clients and making sure they are comfortable with their estate planning.

Zasco’s experience base is further extended to include commercial leasing, commercial sales and purchases and estate matters.

Having practiced for many years in South Africa as well as New South Wales and now Queensland. Zasco has a diverse experience base and network of colleagues and clientele spanning across South Africa, America, the UK, Singapore, New Zealand and of course Australia.

Zasco was admitted as a Lawyer, Conveyancer and Notary in South Africa in 2002. He practiced as a partner in a mid tier legal practice in South Africa from 2004 to 2014.

In 2014 Zasco emigrated with his family to Australia.

In February 2014 Zasco was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in Sydney and later that same year as a Solicitor of the High Court of Australia. Zasco gained invaluable experience in Newcastle based legal practices.

Queensland’s beauty and serenity however drew Zasco’s family and in 2018 they made their decision to move to the beautiful South East Queensland where they have now settled down.

Zasco loves the outdoors, camping, fishing and scuba diving. Fraser Island has become somewhat of a backyard for the family and they spend a lot of time exploring the beauty of the world heritage listed Fraser Island.

The Great Barrier Reef has been an interest for Zasco from childhood and the only thing preventing Zasco from spending more time on the Great Barrier Reef is time itself… a passion for the ocean is inbred into Zasco’s genes and his heart probably pumps more saltwater than blood…

Zasco is a member of the Queensland Law Society.
